#DeliveringTheGospelOneSliceAtATime

So, what’s with the hashtag?

Glad you asked

The LORD really knocked me on my tail (in a good way) recently as He confirmed a word (or two) He spoke to my heart a long while ago.

This confirmation has come recently as I’ve embarked on the adventure of becoming a #FitnessTeacherGospelPreacher with @RevelationWellness

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they describe what we, as Fitness Teachers-Gospel preachers do; ” we just deliver the Pizza“.

We deliver the Gospel as if we were delivering a pizza.

This, of course, resonated with me because of the blessing that my family and I get,  to actually “Deliver the Pizza” through a small business that the Lord gave us many years ago (Pizza Scene). Still blows me away!!

It was a holy moment when the spirit gave that hashtag to me. It was that two-fold confirmation on what the Lord spoke to my spirit long ago when He [clearly] nudged me to start a blog called, “A women’s Influence – Influencing our world one heart at a time”. C’mon now!! Can you see the confirmation?!?!?! One heart / One Slice!! (Insert fireworks)
The vision, was and still is the same. Share His love!

Now, I invite you to share His love as well!!
We’re gonna be #DeliveringTheGospelOneSliceAtATime each time we spread the Love of Christ. Whether with a smile, a hug, a word or a prayer – were gonna deliver it and leave the “consuming and digesting” up the Lord.
I love what this verse say’s… “It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
God makes the seed grow period.

It’s not up to me (or us). And this is something that I desperately need to remind myself of DAILY. Why? Because I forgot this along the way (oy vey).
I took on this weight as if I was everyone’s savior – NOT! (And you will see that if you should go to the blog. You’ll see some consistency in the beginning for a while, then you’ll see it die down. Why? Plainly. I took my eyes of the cross! It shifted to what others thought or me “having” to be like ________).
I challenge EACH of you, that follows Christ, to lead out by #DeliveringTheGospelOneSliceAtATime
Love as you have been loved, give grace as you have been given grace, extend mercy as mercy has been extended to you!
And don’t keep it to yourself. Share it on social media, as the Lord leads you!!

No, it’s not about me (or you) or a hashtag – it’s about getting the Good News out to ALL peoples (Matthew 28:18-20)!

May anyone that is curious about this hashtag, encounter a God who’s love is never-ending and who’s grace is scandalous. May they find the FREEDOM that God came to give us and offers them through His Son, Jesus Christ!
PS: when you see me, be sure to snatch one of these bracelets from me 😉

Free in Him,

Glo 😉

A call to Pray

Thanks so much for taking the time to hear my heart, and invitation to a night of prayer. I pray that the Lord is making you uncomfortable, for Him.

Here are some questions you may have:

  1. What’s a call to pray?
    1. It’s simply a night of prayer where two or more gather and call upon the Lord for the hurt that surrounds us.
      1. “and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
  2. When is it?
    1. July 22, 2016 at 7pm
  3. Where is it?
    1. TBD. Based on the response, we will determine where it will be held. However, it will be in the Miami Lakes area.
  4. What will this prayer night “look” like? Am I gonna have to pray out loud in front of people?
    1. Prayer night will look like a bunch of women that are desperate to hear from God. Women that have heavy hearts or prayer petitions for themselves, their families or friends. We’ll have some worship, scripture reading then prayer.
    2. No. You will not be asked to pray out loud and you will not be put on the spot. God hears our prayers, weather spoken out loud or inwardly. And when we don’t know what or how to pray, the Bible say’s, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hears knows that the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.” Romans 8:26-27

Oh ladies, I’m so excited!!!

“For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom”    -2 Corinthians 3:17

Rim To Him 2016

Dearest Family and Friends,

Thanks so much for stopping by and giving me one of the most precious gifts – a moment of your time!

I’m about to embark on a journey of a lifetime and would LOVE for you to prayerfully consider “Hiking” with me!

Drum Roll…… I’ve signed up to support a ministry called, “Revelatin Wellness”, by hiking the Grand Canyon, Rim to Rim in October of this year. 😮

Rim to Rim, also known as Rim to “Him,” is a one-day endurance hike across the Grand Canyon.

Getting to the other side of the Grand Canyon in one day is not only going to take everything I can give, but require something greater than myself – a greater love that comes from the love and support of others. That’s why I am asking you to “hike” with me.

WATCH THE RIM TO RIM FUNDRAISING VIDEO

Revelation Wellness is a non-profit ministry dedicated to inspiring people to live healthy and whole lives. Proceeds raised from Rim to Rim will continue to help support Revelation Wellness take the message of faith, hope, and love, through fitness and wellness, to hard-pressed and in-need communities worldwide. Be sure to check out how Revelation Wellness “Loves Others” using fitness as a tool. It’s pretty cool!

Because Revelation Wellness believes in helping people get healthy and whole so they may love others well, we will also practice ‘loving others’ by giving a portion of the Rim to Rim funds to HopeFest Phoenix. HopeFest is a one-day, city-wide outreach to over 15,000 of Phoenix’s homeless and working poor.

Your donation will help support me cross the Grand Canyon in one day, and empower Revelation Wellness to continue to take love, through fitness, to others in need, as well as serve Phoenix’s homeless and working poor in April of 2017.

Family, I would not ask if I didn’t believe in this ministry AND need your accountability (as well as your fervent prayers) I believe, that by you donating (whatever you can – seriously – no MATTER what) to this cause, It will SPUR me on during the next 4 1/2 months of intense training.

Grace

“Thegracechangeseverything4-w855h425 LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.” –Genesis 3:21

Here we have the first picture of GRACE.

Eve was deceived, she offered deception to her husband, he too became deceived.

They both played the blame game (which is something that we see rippled through humanity); “The man said, “The woman whom You have to be with me…”; …”and the woman said, “The serpent deceived me,..” (Genesis 3:12-13)

BUT GOD…

In His infinite GRACE, covered them. A sacrifice was made. Blood had to be shed.

What a foretelling of what Jesus would come to do. Die on a cross, shed HIS blood for S. Amazing!!

Amazing GRACE indeed!!!

May we rest in His GRACE today!!

Do NOT be deceived.

The enemy will come at you with generalities [lies]. God comes with specifics [truths].

The enemy condemns. God lovingly/gently points us to Him!

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

Interrupted

Interrupted: delayed, discontinuous, disrupted….

All of which I’ve felt with this blog (insert cross-eyed emoji).

Why? Because Vision leaks.

I had this vision (when I started this blog) to bring some encouragement to the hearts of EACH and every woman that “stumbled” upon this blog. The vision was strong, on fire and anointed by God because HE’s the one who gave it to me.

Then life comes along and INTERRUPTS; it messes with our “plans” at which point we must  STOP, DROP and ROLL on our knees in surrender!

Although I’ve stopped, dropped and rolled along the way – I have allowed the thoughts of; “no one is listening”, “no one cares”, “no one’s even reading these” to dominate – which resulted in the lengthy delay you’ll see here between posts.
Jeremiah 17: 5-6 (NLT) say’s, “This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD. They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.”

May the mistake that I made, in “relying” on the comments or likes of others, be a reminder to you that when we put our “hopes” in humans or human interaction, we WILL find ourselves in a desert with very little hope.

If God has called you to something, GO FOR IT and DO NOT look back my friend!! His gifts and calling are IRREVOCABLE (Romans 11:29). Do it scared!!

Will you press on with me?

Love ya’ll,
Glo 😉

Heart Monitor

i absolutely love my Polar watch. Not only is it totally “me”, it does some pretty cool stuff. It monitors my heart rate, tells me how many calories I burn, it even tells me how long my heart has been in “the zone ” during a workout. And, it keeps all my records so I can go back and compare. How cool is that!?!?

Now… It would be even twice as awesome if that heart rate monitor can measure my inner heart/spirit.

But it doesn’t.

The only way I can measure my true heart, that place that no one sees, is by keeping my heart in The Word of God. You see, The Word is a light that shines in the darkness. And as is say’s, “The heart is deceitful…” So how else could I possibly measure it – if I cannot (on my own).

As I take another exhale, I choose to be reminded that The Word does indeed shine that light on my sin/my rebellion that I so desperately need/desire.

If this rings any kind of bells for you… If you could totally understand what it is to NOT want to dig into The Word, only because you knew it would bring light to some things that you would have much rather kept in the dark – then look up because He’s looking down on you!!!

#CleanHearting #Exhale #Grace

Breathe

Inhale…. Exhale….. Inhale…. Exhale…..

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus… (Romans 8:1)

InhaleExhale….

The distance, the length of time that has gone by without even a peep….

Shame? Yep, a little bit if I’m gonna be transparent.

Why? Because, for me, it can only mean that my walk is not where it was when I first started this blog. Ouch!! (like a song I must sing, “no condemnation”, none!)

Just the fact that this has NOT been the first time I’ve addressed the absence is “embarrassing” enough – HELLO!!

BUT….. God, in His infinite grace has reminded me of His calling on my life. A calling, I might add, that is IRREVOCABLE (Romans 11:29)

He also reminded me that what I’ve gone through or am going through is NOT just for me. I am not alone in my struggles/worries/high’s or low’s. There are a plethora of peeps going through the same, have gone through the same or will be going through the same.

And THAT is why I exhale and share …. Because this is NOT about me, but about a God who is in the business of transformation and redemption through the One and Only Son He sent to die a horrific death for YOU AND ME!!!

So…. If the Lord will permit, I will continue to BREATHE…. One breath at a time, Knowing full well that He’s in control of the results of me being real/sharing my story.

(Side note: I hope this makes some kind of sense… LOL… because this was seriously not scripted at all. It hasn’t been planned or even “thought” over much (as I would normally do when posting)).

Inhale…. I will bless the Lord O my soul … I will praise Him for who He is and what He continues to show me and How He continues to mold me.

Exhale… I will serve Him – even if that means being uncomfortable with others knowing a little bit more of me than I was ever willing to share (all to the praise of His glory).

Yours truly, a sister that has gone through some deep, dark, wide and tall valleys. A Sister that chooses to grip the hand of a mighty God and hold on for dear life – literally.

Until next time….. xoxo

Have you ever looked in the mirror and did a double take – almost as if you forgot what you looked like?

I have.

In fact, the mirror was the LAST thing I wanted to look at because it reminded me of all the things that needed to change (in my heart) but was NOT willing to change (remember my last post….. way loooooong ago…. “No one wanted to change”).  As much as that statement had an impression on me – the effects of actually experiencing it has left a scar I hope to never forget!

  • I don’t ever want to forget the fact that we can ALL fall flat on our face
  • I don’t ever want to take advantage of my relationship with The Lord. I don’t want to think it’s ok to “miss” my time with Him today just because I had time with Him yesterday – make sense?
  • I don’t ever want to forget that the moment we judge someone else’s short comings or weakness’, we better be darn sure we get ready to be tested with those SAME short comings or weakness’.
  • and there’s plenty more not to EVER forget……………

…..Such as…..

  • He is faithful & Keeps His word (Deuteronomy 7:9)
  • He establishes and guards us (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
  • He is unchanging (Malachi 3:6)
  • He warns us and allows US to make our OWN decisions/choices (Deuteronomy 30:19)
  • He is NEAR to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18)
  • He satisfies – He fills (Psalm 107: 9)
  • He is gracious AND compassionate (Psalm 111:4)

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever” Psalm 111:10

Lift your head…. CHOOSEPLEASE choose LIFE!! We stay in the wilderness, at times, because we truly don’t want to let go of our sin – the sin that so easily entangles us – that feel good sin – even the sin that no one knows about – no matter how “acceptable” (like gluttony or caffeine addiction).

Deuteronomy 30:19

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, “
