“A man’s heart plans his way, but the LORD determines his steps” Proverbs 16:9

More times than we care to admit, we set out to do our “own thing”. We make plans, assumptions, and have specific ideas of how things are/should work out for us:

  • A specific marriage
  • Well behaved children
  • The ideal job
  • A certain amount in the bank
  • This size house
  • That car
  • And these types of relationships

Then life happens and that marriage is NOT at all where we would have EVER imagined it would have been, those children are FAR from being well behaved, that ideal job JUST gave you a pink slip, that amount in the bank is nonexistent, the car is BROKEN down and all “these” relationships have LEFT you high and dry.

Take heart my friend….. Because God is ALWAYS specific, ALWAYS kind, ALWAYS ideal, Ever-present, ALWAYS Healer, and ALWAYS Faithful.

He makes NO Mistakes! He determines our Steps!

You ARE NOT a mistake and neither is your situation!

The assignments God gives you are NEVER trivial. Many are the wonders He has done, is doing and WILL continue to do. His thoughts towards us are FAR too numerous to count [we couldn’t even imagine it, even if we tried].

You ARE NOT a mistake and neither is your situation!

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them” (Romans 8:28 NLT *emphasis mine)

Grab hold of this…. and if you’ve heard it before… allow yourself to hear it ANEW.

Challenge: Commit the following scripture(s) to memory and USE it as your weapon. Remember, the enemy cannot STAND to be resisted. RESIST my Friend, RESIST.

  • ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.*Jeremiah 29:11
  • O LORD my God, you have done many miracles for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. *Psalm 40:5
  • Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.*Proverbs 3:5-6

Will you take the challenge with me? Which scripture will you commit to memory?
