Fear can cripple us, make us sweat, give us stomach aches, headaches & …..

Fear = an unpleasant emotion. Anxiety, worry, dread, fright, panic, alarm….

Fear can stop us DEAD in our tracks!

Fear can keep us from our God-given destiny!

When we get struck with Fear, we must examine it. Will it [fear], keep us from our destiny? Will this Fear keep us from moving towards something God has already promised us? Will this Fear keep God from fulfilling His promises?

What is in front of you, right now, that creates anxiety, worry, or fright?

Is it people, circumstances, lack of resources, the ugliness of your situation?

Let me just tell you (and me) that:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline” 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

“…Do not be afraid for I am with you and I will bless you…..” Genesis 26:24 (NLT)

“….Do not be shocked, nor fear them.” Deuteronomy 1:29 (NASB)

“So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:31 (NASB)

We may not be able to avoid the emotion of fear, but we CAN decide NOT to give way to fear, NOT to give fear the upper hand, NOT to allow fear to choke us.

“… If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”. Romans 8:31 (NLT)

The next time Fear tries to grip you, ask yourself: Is this fear/emotion True when I hold it up to the Word of God?  Is this fear/emotion a red flag or trap door?

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t, and the demons can’t. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can’t keep God’s love away.” Romans 8:38 (NLT) *emphasis mine
